About Us

introduction
Earth One Foundation is a non-profit organization that connects people and cultures. We aim to be a bridge between Japan and Sri Lanka by creating opportunities for students and local residents to interact, learn from each other, and share and celebrate culture through educational and cultural events and exchange activities.

mission
Our mission is to support mutual respect, cultural understanding, and learning among students and communities in Japan and Sri Lanka, and to contribute to the development of local communities. Through various events, exchange programs, and other activities, we will build dialogue and cooperation between our two countries and deepen our ties.

International Support Foundation Certificate of Appreciation Presentation Ceremony
In the first student exchange program between Kinuta Junior High School and a school in Sri Lanka, students located 6,800 km apart were able to communicate in real time using Zoom technology. By sharing their culture, school life, and future dreams, they were able to foster international friendships even amidst the pandemic.
The chairman of the Earth One Foundation visited the Saranth Maha Vidyalaya School in Sri Lanka.
On that day, we exchanged opinions and engaged in cultural exchange with students and faculty members.
This visit aims to deepen international understanding, foster individual initiative and expressiveness in each student, and improve their language and communication skills. Furthermore, it aims to strengthen cooperation and friendship between schools, foster understanding of different cultures, and cultivate mutual respect.
Through this initiative, it is hoped that the school's international network will be expanded and international connections will be fostered within the local community. Our foundation aims to cultivate in students the ability to learn diverse values and thrive in the future global society through these opportunities for international exchange.
We held a "Dansal" event in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka.
As part of Earth One Foundation's volunteer activities, we conducted a traditional charity event called "DANSAL" in Anuradhapura, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka, to coincide with the moon-viewing (Poya) holiday.
Dansal is a free meal service held in Sri Lanka on the night of the full moon, based on the Buddhist principle of "dana" (giving). Its purpose is to spread compassion and sharing by offering food and drink to local people, pilgrims, and tourists.
This activity fostered warm interactions among many local residents who cooperated with each other.
Our foundation will continue to promote international support activities through such volunteer work and international exchange, deepening intercultural understanding and valuing connections with local communities.
